Summer Pointe 1/2: Session 1

Monday, June 9, 2025

8:30PM

Placement Required

Beginning pointe students require very strong ankles, body awareness, core stability, among intermediate ballet technique. This class is mainly done at barre while working on gaining the strength and knowledge needed to be able to fully get on pointe and maintain proper positions throughout their whole body while on pointe with selective movement across the floor. Students are guided on how to sew their shoes, basic knowledge in how to care for their shoes, and feet for pointe work. Pointe is an encouraged addition to technical ballet classes, but is not required nor will inhibit your ability to progress in the ballet program. Pointe 1 class meets for an hour every week and students may wear pointe shoes in technique class as needed when working on choreography.
