Ages: 7-17
In this one-day workshop, students will learn about the components of a musical theatre audition. Tips will be shared about preparing for the audition, building up acting skills, and staying focused during the process. Rising Star instructors will recommend songs to perform at an audition, how to prepare for script readings, and how to prepare for a movement piece. This workshop is recommended for new theater students who plan to audition for future musicals and veteran actors who want to improve their auditioning skills.

Before the first day of your child's class, please complete and return the 2025-2026 Schauer School of the Arts waiver via email to the Education Director at classes@schauercenter.org. If this isn't convenient, you may bring a hard copy to the box office Monday through Friday, 12:00–5:00 pm or give the waiver form to the instructor on the first day of class. Blank waiver forms will be available for parents to fill out on the first day of class if needed.
