Placement Required
This is an intermediate and advanced ballet class. In Ballet 2/3, students continue to build upon learned vocabulary and musicality while reviewing proper body alignment and movement quality, emphasizing port a bras. Students continue to advance their coursework at barre, center, and across the floor, including intermediate adagio and allegro movements. Ballet 2 students dance two times a week for a total of two hours and fifteen minutes. Ballet 3 students will dance twice a week for a total of two and a half hours. Ballet 4/5 is typically geared towards seasoned teenage dancers who will focus on their professionalism, honing in on their artistic identity. Students will continue to advance in classical ballet technique and musicality, with a focus on flexibility, performance quality, and confidence. Barre work, center, and across the floor exercises are designed to develop advanced adagio and allegro movements. Ballet 4/5 students will dance twice a week for a total of three hours.

Before the first day of your child's class, please complete and return the 2025-2026 Schauer School of the Arts waiver via email to the Education Director at classes@schauercenter.org. If this isn't convenient, you may bring a hard copy to the box office Monday through Friday, 12:00–5:00 pm or give the waiver form to the instructor on the first day of class. Blank waiver forms will be available for parents to fill out on the first day of class if needed.
