Spring Performance

The Hartford Community Chorus presents:
“SONGS OF THE CIVIL WAR”

The Hartford Community Chorus announces its Spring Concert 2023. Our spring presentation will feature songs of the Civil war period. The program will include spirituals, Confederate songs, Union songs, and songs that eventually healed and united the nation. The program will also include “narrations,” readings of letters from a number of Hartford’s Civil War soldiers. Concert dates are May 6th at St. Gabriel Church and May 7th at the Schauer Center.

The Hartford Community Chorus is under the artistic direction of Mark Weller. He has had vast and various musical and educational experiences. A graduate of UW-Madison, Mark has both bachelor and master degrees in music, two master degrees and doctorate degree in education.

The Hartford Community Chorus is sponsored by the Hartford Recreation Department with additional support from the Schauer Arts Center.
