The Schauer Arts Center is the perfect venue for inspiring young artists in training! Students will learn what it's like to work as a Resident Artist by venturing out of the Art Room to create work that highlights the architure, events, and energy of our environment. Visit rehearsals to practice action drawing, set up spots outside for plein air painting, explore automobile-inspired design based on the cars in our lobby, take walks to find inspiration in the art on display throughout the building. Students will end their session by setting up a gallery exhibit of their work in our Lower Lobby which will be on public display through May 18. (Ages 10-14) Work in different spaces throughout our building to create artwork highlighting the architure, events, and energy of our environment.
