Missoula Children's Theatre
Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs

A special one-week intensive drama workshop for children entering grades 1-12. A fully staged and costumed musical adaptation of Snow White will showcase the talents of 50+ local youth. Those cast will rehearse for the week and perform Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25. Don’t miss this unique opportunity!

Auditions: Monday, June 20 • 10:00 am
Registration begins at 9:30 am. Auditions are held as a group and last approximately 90-120 min.
Grades: Entering 1-12
Tuition: $50 for those cast in production**
Instructor: Missoula Children’s Theatre Faculty
Rehearsals: June 20-24 • 10:30 am-12:30 pm & 1:00-3:00 pm*
Performances: Friday, June 24 at 7:00 pm • Saturday, June 25 at 2:00 pm

Special Notes:
Audition is required for participation - there is NO FEE to audition, tuition is due by Wednesday, June 22 for those cast.

* Students must be available for all rehearsal days and times to audition. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed to the cast following auditions.

** Tuition fee includes enrollment in one MCT workshop listed below and one complimentary ticket to a final performance.

Acting 101
Tuesday, June 21

Grades: Entering 9-12
It’s your first day of college, and your first class is Acting 101. What can you expect to learn today? Explore what other actors learn on their journey to becoming a professional actor.

Creative Dramatics
Wednesday, June 22
• 9:30-10:15 am
Grades: Entering 1-2
Young students use their imagination to transform a story into a play, while learning the importance of focus, the development of character, and the use of pantomime.

The Actor’s Tools
Thursday, June 23
• 9:30-10:15 am
Grades: Entering 3-5
The basic tools of the actor’s trade - observation, memorization, concentration, and imagination - are presented and explored in an entertaining manner. Students participate in a variety of fun exercises, learning to apply the actor’s tools to performing and to everyday life.

Chameleon Improvisation
Friday, June 24
• 9:30-10:15 am
Grades: Entering 6-8
Participation is emphasized as the students learn to act without a script. This workshop can be geared to a full range of abilities, from beginners to more experienced young actors.


First Stage Theater Academy Camp
August 15 - 19

First Stage Children’s Theater of Milwaukee is committed to providing high quality theater experiences for young people and their families. The Academy classes teach life skills through stage skills. First Stage’s professional staff strives to provide the best theater training while being conscious of the development of each student, helping them to take their next step as an actor and as a person.

Instructor: First Stage Theater Academy Faculty
Class Size: Min 10 / Max 40
First Stage Theater Academy reserves the right to cancel any course if enrollment is “insufficient.”

Funding Assistance: Upon request, a limited number of ½ (HALF) price honorariums are available on a first come, first served basis, courtesy of The Hartford Players, Ltd.

Half Day Camp
Grades: Entering K5-2 (must be age 5 by June 1 to enroll)
First Stage Theater Academy’s morning and afternoon programs introduce our youngest students to the process of theater through focused work in creative drama and exploration of voice and movement. The curriculum also focuses on self confidence, personal expression, disciplined effort, and group cooperation.
Time: 9:00-11:30 am OR 12:30-3:00 pm
Tuition: $125

Full Day Camp
Grades:
Entering 3-8
This one-week camp is a fun yet disciplined program designed for students who are new to theater, and for returning students seeking to further develop their theater skills. Camp will focus on developing theater skills including work in Stage Movement, Voice and Speech, Improvisation, Shakespeare, and Acting Theory.
Time: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Tuition: $225
