DANCE     VISUAL ART    MUSIC


Dance
Melissa Arnold Melissa Arnold has been teaching dance for over 15 years, working for studios such as Dance Tracks, LLC of Waukesha and The Ballet Guild of Hartford. She is a member of The Dance Masters of Wisconsin and holds a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and is working towards an art education certification from Alverno College. During the day, Melissa works as an instructional aide for children with special needs.
Sue Girten Sue Girten has been teaching dance for over 25 years with experience in ballet, tap, and jazz. Her early studies were with various Chicagoland dance studios and the Miller Academy of Dance in her adult years. Continuing education includes classes with such greats as Gelsey Kirkland, Randy Duncan, Jay Fagan, and Tom Alexander. She currently serves as the President of Dance Masters of Wisconsin and President-elect of Chicago National Association of Dance Masters.
Wendy Lechusz Wendy Lechusz trained at the En Avante School of Dance for 10 years in ballet, tap, jazz, and funk. She continued her training at the Eau Claire School of Dance for two years before dancing competitively in pom and funk with North High School. As a student of the University of Wisconsin, Wendy continued to diversify her experience by studying modern dance and serving as a choreographer and cast member of the philanthropic musical production, Humorology. Wendy has also taught funk and aerobics while drawing inspiration from today’s artists and styles.
Natasha Pedone-Kahle Natasha Pedone Kahle (Substitute Teacher) began her training at Doris Vonderhoff School of Ballet. She continued with The Milwaukee School of Ballet under Taras Kulba and Van Colins in ballet, pointe, and jazz.  While studying at The Milwaukee Ballet, Natasha performed in The Nutcracker (for five consecutive years), Copella, and Cinderella.  She went on to study and perform at Columbia College (Chicago) in ballet and modern technique under Anna Paskevska and Jan Eckert.  She studied jazz and hip hop under Kirby Reed and at Lou Conte Dance in Chicago.
Rebecca Rinn Rebecca Rinn has studied the art of dance for over 20 years; beginning her training in ballet, jazz, and tap at Lakeshore Dance (Saukville). She then continued her ballet education in Milwaukee Ballet School’s pre-professional program and performed as a soloist in their production of The Nutcracker.  She also studied modern and hip-hop under Fletcher Nickerson with Touch Dance Ensemble’ (Chicago) and danced competitively in pom with Cedar Grove-Belgium High School.  Her experience in teaching varies from coaching her varsity dance team and choreographing routines for her school district’s variety show and instructing all age groups at Midwest Academy of the Performing Arts. Rebecca is pursuing a BFA from UW-Milwaukee focusing on dance and not-for-profit management.

Visual Art
  Terri Feutz (Basket Making) Terri Feutz has been weaving and designing baskets for over 10 years.  She especially enjoys teaching others and has taught to many groups over the years.  Terri is active in several Wisconsin basket guilds and regularly attends workshops to learn new techniques and methods.  She has been teaching basket weaving at the Schauer Center since 2005.
  Kelly Garcia (General Art) studied painting at UW-Milwaukee where she received her BA.  She paints floral artwork and murals for her business, KG Fine Art.  She also has a line of art for kids called “The Kelly & Coco Collection."  Coco is her little dog who gives her much inspiration in the studio!  Kelly is continually inspired by the kids she teaches - their enthusiasm and playful approach to art is a real joy.  KGFineArt.com
Frank Hoeffler Frank Hoeffler (Painting) graduated from UW-Milwaukee, having studied art from an early age at the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, UW Menasha-Fox Valley, and the Scottsdale School of Art in Arizona.  His work has shown in numerous solo shows including the JMS Gallery Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Leenhouts Gallery, Milwaukee, Gallery Alexie Chelsea, and New York, to name a few.  He has participated in numerous juried exhibitions throughout the U.S. including Attleboro, MA, Midland, TX, Chicago, IL, and Farmington, NM.
Andee Warren Andee Warren (Clay) holds a BA in Visual Arts from the University of Southern Maine. She has worked as a visual arts instructor in a variety of mediums for adults, children, and adults with developmental challenges.   She is sole proprietor of Blenderhead Papers in West Bend and Cedar Creek Pottery in Cedarburg.

Music
Celia Meisel Celia Meisel (Kettle Moraine Children's Choir, Early Childhood Music) is a vocalist and instrumentalist with over 20 years experience performing and studying music.  She received her Bachelors in Music from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Masters in Music from Northern Illinois University.  Celia moved to Wisconsin in 2008 where she has worked exclusively as a freelance performer and music educator.  She runs a private studio teaching piano, voice, woodwinds, and composition.  CeliaFaye.com
Phil Scales

Phil Scales (Kettle Moraine Youth String Orchestra) is currently the Director of Development for the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in Madisonand holds a MA in Business Administration and Advanced Conducting. Mr. Scales has been a teacher and conductor for over 30 years, serving as the Artistic Director for the Huron Symphony for 10 years and was the founder of the Watertown Symphony and Watertown Youth Symphony in South Dakota. Mr. Scales also served as director of the Sheboygan Youth Symphony and taught at Horace Mann Middle School in Sheboygan. In 2007 Phil served as guest conductor for the Beaver Dam Symphony.

In addition to being an active conductor, Phil is also a violist and has performed with the Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra, Austin Civic Ballet, and Austin Symphony, South Dakota State Orchestra, Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra, Edgewood Chamber Orchestra, Beaver Dam Symphony, Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, and the Madison Community Orchestra.

Mr. Scales served as President of the South Dakota Strings Teachers’ Association and was named Middle School Teacher of the year. Phil had the honor of being a finalist for the Bush Leadership Fellows Program for Arts Administration. In his spare time he run a private string studio and two of his students are recent winners of the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition.


We are always in search of qualified, professional teacher-artists to join our faculty. Candidates should have previous teaching experience with academic and/or professional expertise in their discipline.  We accept proposals for youth and adult classes in visual arts, theater, dance, and music.
