Schauer School of Dance
Classes for Youth

Students beginning at ages 3 or 4 are introduced to dance through creative movement.  As they grow, dancers build on these fundamentals with more specific techniques offered in ballet, tap, lyrical, funk, jazz, musical theater dance, and pointe.

Occassionally, students have the opportunity to take masterclasses and even perform with visiting companies that are part of the Schauer Center’s professional performing arts series.  Offerings vary by semester, view the current class schedule or check for upcoming auditions.

Purpose
· Preserve the art of classical ballet in our community.
· Provide experienced and knowledgeable instructors who love to teach.
· Ensure a nurturing and supportive environment for students.
· Help students grow as young artists and to develop a strong technical foundation.
