Schauer School of Dance
Dress Code
As a matter of etiquette and to demonstrate respect for the art of dance, we ask students to PLEASE wear pants or a skirt over their leotard and tights when arriving and departing the studio. Students should also arrive dressed in proper dance attire, as listed below. There is no dressing room available.
Please do not wear jewelry to class as it can injure the dancer, instructor or other classmates. Hair must be pulled back and secured away from your face and neck. Hanging or loose hair interferes with dancer's ability to hold his/her head properly during specific excersises. For ballet class a bun is preferred, but not required. However, a bun is required during performances, so you’ll be glad for the extra practice of making a bun!.
Dance Apparel and Fittings
Each semester at least one fitting session will be held at the Schauer Center. Information regarding fitting dates and times will be given to you with your class enrollment confirmation. Please make every effort to attend a fitting. It is important that your child be fit properly for his/her dance shoes.
