Community School of the Arts

About the Schauer Community
School of the Arts

Founded in Fall 2001, the Community School of the Arts (CSA) believes the arts are for everyone.  We welcome young and old, the accomplished and the beginning, students of all levels and visions.  Our purpose is to give the finest quality art instruction to all students.  The School of the Arts looks to provide a multi-disciplinary arts curriculum to meet the needs of the Kettle Moraine community.

We offer classes in dance, music, theater, and visual arts during Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer sessions. Our Youth String Orchestra, Children's Choir, School of Dance, and partnering theater groups also offer performance opportunities for K-12 students.  Take a tour of our CSA offerings.

Classes are held at either the Schauer Arts & Activities Center (147 N. Rural Street) or our Creative Arts Studios (30 S. Johnson Street). Both locations are conveniently located within blocks of eachother in downtown Hartford.   The Studio is only open when classes are in session, so inquiries during normal business hours (Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) should be directed to the Schauer Center.
